No analytics, on purpose

This site runs without analytics, tracking scripts, or cookies. Here is what that stance buys you as a visitor, and what it costs us to keep.

While you read this page, nothing is watching you do it. No analytics script is timing your scroll, no pixel is reporting your visit to an ad network, and no banner is asking you to consent to any of it — because there is nothing to consent to.

What we left out

  • No analytics or tracking. We do not know you visited. There is no dashboard of visitors, referrers, or session recordings anywhere.
  • No cookies. The only thing this site stores is your theme choice, kept in your own browser's local storage where only you can read it.
  • No third-party anything. Fonts, scripts, and styles are all served from our own domain, and the site instructs your browser to refuse requests to anyone else's.

The contact form follows the same rule. It composes a draft in your own mail app and hands the conversation to you. Nothing is submitted to a server, logged, or stored along the way.

What it costs us

Honesty requires admitting that we are flying without instruments. We do not know which essays resonate, where readers arrive from, or how many of you there are. When something here lands, we find out the only way left: someone takes the time to write to us. That is a slower signal, and a rarer one, than any funnel chart — and we have chosen it deliberately.

Data you never collect cannot leak, cannot be sold, and cannot quietly become the product.

This is not a sermon against measurement; plenty of good software is built with it. But we build products whose whole promise is that your data stays yours, and a company website is the cheapest possible place to prove that promise is real. Trust demonstrated beats trust asserted, and this page is the demonstration.
